okay so i’m not 100% set on her enneagram and instinctual stacking yet, but i’ve just finished book 2 and so far i feel like her Si-Fe is pretty obvious. it is so lovely to read about her relationship with lila who is obv a Ni-dom (INTJ more specifically). i understand the INFJ votes because their relationship with each other is so strong and unique, characterized especially by their discussion of ideas and thoughts, but honestly i struggle seeing Ni in elena. her jealousy of lila’s ability to connect the dots and to come to so shockingly accurate insights is something i'd say is a sign of her Si. it is described multiple times throughout the books, especially the 2nd book, that elena relies on hard work and a systematic work process to manage and excel in school. she fights her fear of failure, fear of lacking and her general fear of her environment by working hard, while she describes a jealousy and sometimes anger towards lila who "just knows” things and simply comes to the "right" conclusions and insights seemingly naturally. this screams Si vs Ni to me and i loooove it. she also often thinks back to their childhood, drawing parallels between events that are happening and events that have happened. there is also a scene where she describes how her present has changed by for example talking about the scents, tastes, feelings that were in the past. (also the fact that she is retelling the story many many years later, as a Ni dom myself i dont even remember what happened yesterday lol). regarding enneagram i'm less sure, i could see 6, 9 or possibly even 4. my initial gut feeling was 6, so for now i'm gonna go with that. her fear is really controlling her actions.
