Biography
Carolyn Sue Jones (April 28, 1930 – August 3, 1983) was an American television and movie actress. She is probably best remembered as the first actress to portray Morticia Addams in the 1960s series The Addams Family, but she's also remembered for her roles in House of Wax and the original Invasion of the Body Snatchers. She received an Oscar nomination for her supporting role in The Bachelor Party (1957). Producer Aaron Spelling was her third husband. She passed away at age of fifty three from colon cancer. Her onscreen Addams husband, John Astin, gave the eulogy at her funeral.
