the opening of Game of Thrones, where King Robert greets Ned Stark saying "you've gotten fat" and then both laugh like they've known each other's back and the atmosphere of the situation starts to warm and melt I think everyone in the audience's seats know the implication that it is actually Ned who thinks that Robert have gotten fat, but he can't say that because Robert is the king, but Robert realizes this and says what was on Ned's mind in a playful banter way
Biography
This is fondness through familiarity, especially among family members or people who have otherwise found themselves together by chance, It's usually, but not always, reciprocated. The archetype of storge is mother's love for her children - and the children's love for mom. Lewis says storge is a very basic human need, comparing it to food - if you think you can do without, it's not a good sign, just like lack of appetite can be medically alarming. In fact, human children (and other mammals - see cloth mother and related experiments) have been observed to not develop right when deprived of storge. While the archetype of storge is family, it doesn't need a blood relation - e.g. both sides of the happily adopted will, by definition, have storge for each other (wouldn't be happy otherwise). Going mad from the isolation may happen to people deprived of it.
