What personality type is Tao Xu? Tao Xu is an ISTJ personality type in MBTI, 6w7 - sx/sp - 614 in Enneagram, RLOEN in Big 5, ESI in Socionics.
I think Tao is an INTJ. Most people agree that he uses Te-Fi and I think both are quite developed, but I do think his Te is stronger than his Fi. As for his perceiving functions I don't really see Ne at all. Ne tends to be a quite open minded non-judgemental function because of its ability to see all sorts of different perspectives on an issue, and as much as I love Tao I do think he can be quite judgemental. He is also seen to jump to conclusions based on what he believes is objective fact (Ni-Te), for example believing that Nick couldn't possibly have a crush on Charlie solely based on the fact that he once had a crush on Tara. The fact that he doesn't entertain any other possibilities at all, like that Nick could be bisexual, or that his crush was just a rumour, doesn't really seem Ne dom-like to me. He immediately takes this one piece of information as confirmation that Nick doesn't like Charlie back. I also think inferior Se would explain his accidental outing of Charlie - this incident definitely shows a lack of awareness of what's happening in the present moment and a lack of attention to his own senses. My last point is kind of a stupid one but also as an ENFP I don't relate to Tao at all. Well, apart from that we both like beanies- That doesn't really prove much but I thought I'd put it out there anyway
