ParrotX2 MBTI Personality Type
Personality
What personality type is ParrotX2? ParrotX2 is an ISTJ personality type in MBTI, 1w2 - - 215 in Enneagram, RCOAI in Big 5, EIE in Socionics.
Throughout all of UU, Parrot has led with the mindset that if no else is going to make a change, the responsibility falls on him. From “This Button Destroys the World”, he says “It’s not my job to guard these wonders, but if no one else is going to even try to stop the rest of them from getting destroyed, then I don’t think I have a choice but to protect them myself,” and this mindset continues. He directly says that he “Can change” the situation with the invisible mafia. “Ones have a ‘sense of mission’ that leads them to want to improve the world in various ways, using whatever degree of influence they have.” There is never a moment in Parrot’s storyline that he doesn’t have some sort of goal, some sense of mission, and it is ALWAYS a goal that lines up with his need to be morally right. Ones are gut types, and Parrot operates off of his internal gut, which is what establishes this need for a moral mission, and then uses his past experiences (Si) to then determine the msot effective course of action (Te). His morals are hypocritical, we see this in how during the first war, he tells Ken and Wato to put aside their resentment, and then in the same breath lashes out at Wifies because of his resentment. “In the effort to stay true to their principles, Ones resist being affected by their instinctual drives, consciously not giving in to them or expressing them too freely. The result is a personality type that has problems with repression, resistance, and aggression.” If you called out an e1s anger, 99% of the time their response would immediately be “What? No, I’m not aggressive. I’m not angry.” Ones repress their gut instincts so much. It’s stated in the description of an e1 that they will convince themselves that they are a head type, because they so desperately cling to the need to be right, they will justify their every move the exact way we see Parrot do. “You think after everything you did, we’re just gonna let you go?” is what Parrot says to Wemmbu, when he was going to do the exact same thing for Boomie. He sees Boomie as innocent, he justifies himself & to Wemmbu. This is where his motivations so drastically differ from the motivations a 2w1 would have. E2s do not dedicate themselves to a cause the way e1s absolutely push themselves to. Another major difference is that Parrot is equally as repressive with all of his emotions in the way a 2 is decidedly not. 2s can struggle with repressing their anger and it coming out passive-aggressively, but Parrot’s anger and sense of justice is extremely apparent. Again, an e1 will be clearly angry about something, but when you call them out on it, it’s instantly repressed. I can’t see 2w1 for Parrot at all, and the only place I could see that would maybe be in interpreting his and Wifies relationship as the merging an e2 often does? But even then I take it more of Wifies being an e2 (which i believe he is) + Parrot’s end of the director arc is literally him resisting that merging.
