what evidence is there that she's a 6 disintegrating into a 3? the social 3 description sounds just like her: "The name given to this subtype is "Prestige," which reflects the idea of needing everybody's admiration and applause. This Three, more than the other two subtypes, likes and needs to be recognized, so they tend to be more out in front, basking in the spotlight." "Social Threes are socially brilliant. They know how to talk to people and how to climb the social ladder. These Threes feel a need to frame words carefully to get the maximum benefit, which is measured in terms of making the right impression, getting what they want, and reaching their goals. Their fuel is social success, though what exactly constitutes "success" can vary depending on the history and context of the individual Social Three." Her establishing character moment in the first episode, is literally her successfully getting a job in the IT department, having fabricated a knowledge of computers which she doesn't actually have. She has a very specific, personal definition of "success": she really just wants to be seen as a career woman, even if she doesn't actually know much about the job that she's doing. She consistently lies her way into opportunities which support the image she needs in a given moment, like when she tries to impress that man through her knowledge of classical music, which is derived entirely from lucky guesses. Is this healthy behaviour? Of course not, but what actual evidence is there to suggest that she's a disintegrated 6, and not just an unhealthy 3? Let's look at the social 6 description for comparison: "The Social Six typically represents a mixture of phobic and counterphobic expressions. This Six is a cooler character that the Self-Preservation Six. They find safety in being precise about how one should conduct oneself. They have a lot of anticipatory anxiety-they believe that everything will go wrong, so they rely on precision in following the rules as a way of coping with their anxiety. They feel most secure when they have clear minds and when things are in clear categories. Social Sixes are good Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, dedicated to adhering to the group code and to a competent way of doing things based on that code." I suppose it could be argued that this applies to Jen to some extent, insofar as that she tries to encourage Moss and Roy to live "normal" lives which she sees as more valuable (ie. to stop being nerds, a process which ultimately just causes Jen to become more of a nerd herself: once again, example of a Social 3 becoming a chameleon). But does she really play by social rules and values, in broader society? She seems quite content to disregard them for the success of herself, and ability to further the careers and images of both herself and sometimes people she cares about. Moss and Roy also both seem to be quite aware of where her weaknesses are, as is proven through her attempt to prank and humiliate her in "The Speech" (I haven't seen this episode for a while due to the hell that was unleashed from it, but yk), something which she initially tries to resist them knowing, but later just comes to accept that they know. Also 3w2>3w4, because she does orientate her need for success towards outward rather than inward approval, and also has a lot of the good traits of a 2 wing: she's caring, helpful, and friendly. All of which are reinforced by dominant Fe and actually make her a very good "relationship manager" for and ENTP and an INTP with the worst Fes on the planet.
Biography
Reynholm Indutries' IT Department's "Relationship Manager". An ambitious career woman whose dreams of climbing the corporate ladder are always foiled by either her co-workers' antics, her tendency to compulsively lie about her abilities, or her complete lack of understanding of anything relating to computers.
