Yhwach MBTI Personality Type
Personality
What personality type is Yhwach? Yhwach is an ENFJ personality type in MBTI, 8w9 - so/sp - 135 in Enneagram, RCOEI in Big 5, LIE in Socionics.
(1/2) To prestate in brief, Yhwach is a Social 2 because the core of his ideology professes to an idea of holy love, and that he, as this holy figure, is equipped with the ability to bestow both life and death unto his people. Yhwach is a maker of miracles--a sort of godhead granted the ability to not only eliminate illness and grant power, but revoke both at his leisure, often lethally. In semi-literal terms, Yhwach is a fantastical rendition of the first person in the trinitarian Christian trinity, that being God the Father, and his powerset makes clear how he parallels the almighty and all-knowing creator. Much like God unto us, Yhwach regards all Quincy as his children, declaring his intention to create a world free of death with himself as its ruler. Yhwach's deific depiction makes him somewhat similar to Makima. However, what separates Yhwach from Makima is the head triad fixation. Makima is a 5 fix and that’s very clear. She desires to keep herself away, out of the combat and spotlight. She controls people in a way where they’re impressed by her goddess-like being and they inevitably serve her. The thing is, Yhwach does not stay in the shadows and he does not seek to minimize similarly to Makima does. Rather, it is BECAUSE Yhwach fears death, that he goes against this fear by killing those who dare oppose him. Furthermore, he desires to directly combat his fear of death as well by doing all within his power to prevent it, hence his ability to foresee and manipulate the future. To elucidate the irony with this character (going back to how overwhelmingly he represents E2) we must first establish the structure of Yhwach's characterization. He is the Father, the exalted lord of all Quincy. He gifts power to those he touches, heal your wounds, and relieve you of your power, life, and future. He is someone with magnificent pride in his abilities, which is presented, for example, when after he defeats Ichigo, as he keeps the portal open after Rukia and Renji appear onto the scene. The scene is ironic--Yhwach arrogantly claims that he "doesn't understand who is sending these weaklings after him", and condescendingly declares that he will provide all who wish to challenge him with an honorable death. His grandiosity belies his honor. Not far after this, he adds that Ichigo doensn't need to fear being alone, as he will suffer with the rest of the Soul Society. Grasping why Yhwach fits SO2 as a whole so well requires apprehending the crucial fact that Yhwach is a parallel to God. Just as a starter, if it wasn't apparent, his name references the Hebrew theonym "YHWH", which is the name of god in the Hebrew bible. God in Christianity is believed to be the eternal, supreme being who created and preserves all things. Christians believe in a monotheistic conception of God, which is both transcendent (wholly independent of, and removed from, the material universe) and immanent (involved in the material universe). The title of "Father" capitalizes God's role as the giver of life, and the almighty, all-charitable authority figure who watches over human affairs like a parent would their children. Yhwach has the power to look into and shape the future to his whim, giving him sovereignty over the destiny of his children. He cures them, gives them power, and even refers to them as his own. His overpowered broken ability, the almighty, which enables him to see and change any possible future so that he can have his desired outcome in the present, emphasizes the fact that he is in fact a messianic figure who was born with godlike attributes and that he does not need to transcend the level of God because he was born at that level. This power is described as being all-knowing and all-powerful; it is his form of omniscience, of course. It is clear from his name, values, and personality that he and his subordinates have drawn inspiration from Abrahamic ideas. These generators can morph into hideous, terrifying monsters according to the Quincy sacred shapes, much to how angels are described in Hebrew texts as having four wheels with rims full of eyeballs.
