What personality type is Argonian? Argonian is an personality type in MBTI, 6w5 - sp/sx - 694 in Enneagram, in Big 5, SLI in Socionics.
I generally agree with the votes for Se using types. Argonians live in the moment, and their culture doesn't even have words for "past" and "future." They build purely wooden and temporary structures because of a concept they have called the Shuna-tei, which translates to "the pain caused by holding too tightly to that which has come to pass," or "the fear of death and forgetting." They don't build from stone because stone structures last for centuries, and they believe that they remind oneself of a long-lost civilization and the idea of collapse and abandonment. (Lack of Si) It's easy to write off the Argonians as not being feeler types and therefore ISTPs for some because Argonians don't seem to express much emotion, but this is a cognitive bias. Argonians are actually deeply expressive, but, being lizard people, they don't express their emotions the same way that humans do. Without tone of voice to go off of, the only Argonian emotion that is obvious to humans is anger, what with the characteristic narrowing of the eyes and baring of fangs, but they communicate many other emotions through the use of subtle tail movements, head movements, hand movements, etc. Likewise, Argonians find the emotions of outsiders to be equally incomprehensible. Communication becomes even more difficult between the other races and the Argonians when you consider that the Argonian language, Jel, is the only language of Tamriel that is not derived from Ancient Ehlnofex. To make things worse, Jel incorporates noises that are nearly impossible for humans to make. This mostly just boils down to pure anatomy and historical circumstance, of course, so it's best not to attribute this trait to any kind of personality trend. Argonians are deeply untrusting of outsiders, but if one manages to earn their trust and friendship, they will be lifelong friends who will defend those they care about to the death. Argonians care a lot about aesthetics. They will adorn their bodies and their structures with bright and colorful feathers, decals, and paint. Argonians are also known for their jewelry, crafting intricate baubles out of gold and bronze that fetch high prices outside of Black Marsh. The ways that Argonians creatively express themselves, as well as their fashion overall, tends to differ greatly from tribe to tribe. Overall, a lot of evidence for being Fi and Se users.
Biography
A race of Reptilian-like beings native to the swampy lands of Black Marsh. Argonians worship the Hist, a race of sentient trees that can be found all Nirn. Argonians come in a variety of shapes and colors, with bird-like feathers serving as their "hair". Interestingly an Argonian can determine their physical traits, whenever they come into contact with Hist Sap. Unfortunately, due to their unorthodox physiques, Argonians have for the most part been shunned by foreigners. Many Argonians have been forced into slavery, or banned from entering foreign cities.
