After watching all of the episodes featuring Lime, Lime is a clear and classic INTP. I have no idea why people are voting ISTP or ESTP for Lime. XSTP are literally Ne blind and Lime is literally a paranoid conspiracy theorist. Being an engineer does not automatically mean they are XSTP, in fact, Lime has pretty bad Se for an engineer who spends his time in the vents all the time (he has no sense of direction in the vents) and he is oblivious to Blue's charming. I am going to break Lime's personality function by function, starting from the most obvious. 1. Auxiliary Ne (or at least high Ne) Lime doesn't stay grounded in immediate physical facts. His brain automatically jumps to the abstract, connecting unrelated ideas to form wild, overarching theories. The moment he gathers data, his Ne explodes into conceptual possibilities, which manifests exactly as the classic, doomsday-prepper "conspiracy theorist." His reaction to discovering the faceless body in the Med Bay is the ultimate proof of Ti-Ne. Instead of taking practical action, Lime immediately leaps to a bizarre, conceptual conclusion: "The alien has no bones, therefore it is a demonic or supernatural entity, therefore I must construct a holy water squirt gun to fight it." This is pure, unhinged Ti-Ne framework building. It is logical to him internally (Ti), but the connections he's drawing between the data points are wildly abstract, conceptual, and weird (Ne). 3. Inferior Fe Lime is totally oblivious to social norms and acts in a rude and slightly antisocial way due to his paranoia. For instance, he doesn't care about White's small talk or initially rejects Blue scanning him, even as Blue exerts his charisma and only agrees when Blue convinces him to scan for the sake of the crewmates. It appeals to Lime's low-level desire to do the right thing for the group, but it has to be logic-ed into him because his default state is completely detached and withdrawn. 3. Tertiary Si An INTP's paranoia is deeply tied to Tertiary Si paired with Ne. They track past patterns (Si) to project massive, hidden, catastrophic future threats (Ne). Lime being described as a literal doomsday prepper screams a Ti-Ne-Si loop, where he is constantly generating concepts of how things could go wrong and isolating himself to prepare for it. Therefore, Lime's cognitive functions are Ti-Ne-Si-Fe, a classic INTP under stress due to paranoia. Other remarks: Lime is an 6w5, with paranoia to the point he becomes antisocial and stubborn. He is 6w5 over 6w7 because his behaviour in seeking security from the environment is emotional detachment and withdrawal (5 is a withdrawn type) instead of escaping from pain by seeking distractions (7).
