I made a really broad comment a while ago on why INTJ's are the most likely type to be neurodivergent, and now I feel like going in depth, so here you go. Prefacing this again by saying that obviously, any personality type can be neurodivergent. It is just more common to see certain types having certain forms of neurodiversity, and this can be linked to cognitive functions. For example, Ne and Se users have a tendency to have ADHD. But back to INTJ. An average INTJ's stack, to recap, is Ni > Te > Fi > Se > Ne > Ti > Fe > Si According to this, there are a few reasons that INTJ is the most likely personality type to be on the autism spectrum: 1. Their need for categorization in the outside world. That's auxiliary Te. 2. Low empathy and low emotional intelligence. That's blindspot Fe and tertiary Fi. 3. Trouble with sensory things, such as loud noises, bright lights, etc. Also, hating change. That's inferior Se. 4. Trouble with interoception and recognizing bodily needs. That's demon Si. 5. The need to explain things using metaphors, and the tendency to hyperfocus on a particular thing. That's dominant Ni. There are a few other traits that INTJ's have which relate to autism spectrum disorder: 1. Independence, preferring to be alone 2. Always being an outsider or categorized as "weird" 3. Being awkward in social situations, having trouble recognizing social cues etc. As always, an INTJ (or anyone else) on the autism spectrum might have all of these traits, none of them, or only a few of them. Everyone with autism is different, and every INTJ is also different.
