I think he's an INTP in some sort of Si loop (or ISFJ in a Ti loop although the way he talks and does stuff would suggest higher Ne) He constantly wants to find out what is happening in the worlds and although he is scared at first or is warned/ordered to not investigate he pushes on. Also when he first encounters things like the black figure or the mossy cobblestone he tries to make sense of it by saying it might be a bug due to the texture pack. Regarding his Si: The entire ARG revolves around Andrew being nostalgic and dwelling on the past e.g. using old texture packs, disliking copper, building simple things as done in the past like towers. This is also used by Smile taking Andrew to the console tutorial and christmas world (which hit different ngl) to lure him into the wells.
