I think he is one of my favorite characters out of anything, ever. People always talk about redemption arcs and trauma when discussing great characters, and I think Hank is a prime example of everything an amazing character should be. The way he starts out, wanting to do good yet being cocky and rude is such stereotypical Se ego behavior, but he grows and he grows. What makes his growth so rewarding is that it isn't linear, he takes a step in the right direction and then life beats him down. I think the same thing makes Zuko's redemption arc so rewarding, there is internal conflict and people like seeing that (because it makes a character 3 dimensional). The amazing thing about Hank is how he gets beaten down so hard with trauma and PTSD, and just continues to get up and be this brash rude hero in a world full of evil. People also rudely underestimate his intelligence, but goddamn that Ti was so strong when he was acting as a detective. He seriously figured out more than any other task force member, he was brilliant. Maybe I love him because I am an 8w7 too, and I like seeing an example of another 8w7 who eases up and learns to deal with the anger and frustrations that we often carry. I also loved seeing that incredibly weak Fi us ExTPs have rarely activate, especially when he figured out the whole Heisenberg thing. You could actually see him ooze emotion and he kind of lost himself in functions that were usually quite weak (Ni and Fi). When things got so close to home and his Fi activated, he started making dumb mistakes like telling Skyler not to get a lawyer and scaring her off. This is more of a ramble than anything else, plus I have done a poor job at explaining anything, I just kinda wanted to ramble about my love for Hank and the badass way he went out. "You're the smartest guy I have ever met, but you are too stupid to see.... He made up his mind ten minutes ago, do what you gotta d-." If that isn't Se (with Fe) in Hank vs Ni in Walt I do not know what would be. Now to end this ramble with another badass quote: "My name is ASAC Schrader, and you can go f*** yourself."

Henry R. "Hank" Schrader is Walter White's brother-in-law and the husband of Marie Schrader. He is an agent of the Albuquerque office of the Drug Enforcement Administration, who leads the investigation of the methamphetamine cook "Heisenberg", and also investigated Gustavo Fring's drug empire.
