Solo performers/ vocalists with a penchant for prominent stage act is the easiest to type among all kinds of people. Because not only you can gain instant insight on their main+aux by watching the changes in expression and body language from videos of their performance, compare with trying to intuit a driving function behind a quote from one interview, but also, equally important is their blindspot/trickster that acts up during times of stress/pressure. Doubly so if it's a performance of their flagship song. Triply so if the song is an upbeat one. That said. Everyone agreed on Fi. Most agreed on Ne, but some are trapped by the "trying to live in the moment" quote mistakenly signaling Se. Now to disprove this, rather than going by semantics of "he only now tries to develop Se which means previously he didn't have one" I'd just go and watch 2 or 3 of his performance. Case 1: Good Luck My Way https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3aJ8nw7WbzM Rather than letting his right hand do real-time interaction with surroundings (instinctual Se-aversion), he chose to carry a flag (Ne-motivated because spontaneous and he think it surprises the audience, and an instinctual Si-preference because he'd rather 'internalise' the sensation of 'holding and keeping a flag near him'). Si and Se can be hard to distinguish when observing physical movement in real time, but one major telltale sign of Si when making a physical activity is they'd rather keep the joint-nearer-to-torso close to the body. What this means, is that they'd rather keep elbows and knees to the center of the body fulcrum (navel/stomach), and prefer to flail around their feet and hands. When they have to move their elbow and knees around, the hands and feet will rush to go to the fulcrum, or at the very least go to the symmetry-line of the body. An easily visible example of this pattern is 'standing with a bent knee'. The slight knee bend is even more visible when they have to walk around. As if trying to make conscious calculation on each step, what limited movement caused by the slight knee bend they compensate by making wider steps. Now, an example of this fulcrum-tendency pattern on Hyde, is he like to put one leg on a speaker unit (again Ne-motivated act of surprise) but when he does so, he bends his body forward, seemingly to put his face front and center towards the audience but unconsciously is to get his knee and navel together. Compare this with Ken (the glasses guy in this video, NeFiTeSi) when he does the same movement of putting one leg on a platform. When his body tries to move forward to get his knee to the fulcrum, he makes an effort to extend his feet forward because of instinctual rejection of Si-animus. That is actually also caused by him holding a guitar, obstructing his knee from fulcrum. But if his Si weren't animus then he would've just bent his knee downward rather than extend it. This 2 whole paragraph correlates directly to-- Case 2: Hitomi no Juunin https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GpsksCqwVsk A comparatively lower-energy performance, but an ever popular flagship song. The need to make gestures to signify the sentimental value for this song yet at the same time maintain a conserved, lower energy movements (trying to stop own Ne) caused him to retreat into the exact Si-based patterns I have described above. Now, retreading the first paragraph, another thing that solidifies him as initially a Si user instead of Se, which he did develop later in life, is the fact that his Se is a blindspot/trickster. 5 FiNeSiTe singer/performers I have observed (Hyde, Tsuyoshi Domoto, Kenshi Yonezu, Fujii Kaze, and Maharajan of Sailor-Moontarou), 5 of them fall into the same trap: unawareness to their own condition whenever they try to engage in a typical Se real-time body movement (it's even easier to observe in Tsuyoshi because Koichi, his duo partner is a TiSe). The 'unawareness of own condition' also generally appears when a song reaches a part where emotion/ sentimentality peaks, but not yet the end of the song. The Se tricks them into believing they should 'go all out when at the top of the mountain' not realizing that doing so will instantly drain their energy. This is easier to observe in Hyde because L'arc~en~Ciel typically has long interludes before the final chorus, therefore leading Hyde's Se to trick him into doing what I just described. In the Good Luck My Way video, he made conscious effort to shout at every "good luck my way" part, make long walks and excited jumps, all the while trying to save his breath for the shout. This left him with just a little energy left for the final act of the song, exhaustedly panting. As for Hitomi no Juunin , song with a long interlude even for Laruku standard, his Se gets tricked into believing he should 'shout it all out' just before entering interlude, because he has been tricked into thinking that he can regain energy during that interlude. All of which shows that his Se is a trickster/blindspot.
