Hear me out - healthy and philosophically-matured 4's work their entire lives attempting to become Enneagram 1. I believe this is true with Miyazaki aswell. His contempt for humanity and knack for isolation has led him on a path of self-discovery akin to a 4w5 with their 5 wing anchoring them to a more solitary and monastic lifestyle, with all the expressionism and existential angst of the 4 in tow. I don't see any of the natural values of a 1 through his lifestyle or attitude, but an attempt to manage his self-centered and ego-centric viewpoints (many of which I truly empathise with) toward a humanistic outlook. 4's, especially in older age, usually end up maturing into finding that altruistic strength. Also sorry, INFJ votes, I can see where you're coming from but the more you discover about the man, the more Fi-dom it gets. Aggressively so.
