What personality type is Jonny Kim? Jonny Kim is an INFJ personality type in MBTI, 1w9 - - in Enneagram, in Big 5, in Socionics.

INFJ seems likely, but I’m open to different ideas. I watched the 4 hour podcast he did with Jocko Willink, where he went over his whole life story, along with basically every other videos on him I could, but man is he private. Ni - Whatever topic he discussed or event he recounted, Jonny focused on the meaning of them and how they led him to his current state. He talks about how his greatest gift is sticking to one plan and not quitting, no matter what. He keeps talking about psychology and fighting one’s inner demons, very much an Ni+Fe focus, more than other types. And everything he talks about he gives a very weighty air to, a very serious guy all around. He reminds me of Marcus Aurelius lol. Fe - Jonny has said that for as long as he can remember, he has wanted to protect people. Whether or not this was forged by his childhood trauma with his father, or drawn out from within him by it, he nonetheless decides things by group harmony and outward ethics. He constantly mentions wanting to do everything he can for the team, for his brothers, for the country at large. This man has an amazing sense of Ni duty and Fe responsibility. Also a very serene, soft-spoken man who hides his own emotions, or is even unfamiliar with them. Ti - His Ti is very good it seems, likely as a result of his enneagram or perhaps simply personal development. But he has a knack for learning things extremely quickly, even though he argues against that. He was sent to sniper school very early, and appreciates math as well as other STEM fields such as astronomy, clearly. However this Ni+Ti is altogether wrangled to serve an Fe team or wider community, showing that his Ti will follow the lead of his Fe rather than for intellectual stimulation itself. Se - This seems odd, given how martial and decisive Jonny is, but when he was reflecting on his youth he said that he was a scared kid, retreating from the world and other people. He only turned this around when he began pursuing his goals all-in, such as preparing for SEALS training camp. And of course, what really drew Jonny to the Teams, as he himself said, was that opposed to the superficial reasons (Se) like tanks and guns and blowing things up, he sought a higher purpose (Ni) in finding a place in the world with his brothers (Fe). A goal like that will motivate any INFJ to master their Se. Also, this is my first comment. Very exciting.

Jonathan Yong Kim, also called Jonny Kim, is an American US Navy lieutenant commander, physician, and NASA astronaut. Born and raised in California, Kim enlisted in the United States Navy in the early 2000s before earning a Silver Star and his commission.
