Rapunzel MBTI Personality Type

Personality

What personality type is Rapunzel? Rapunzel is an ENFP personality type in MBTI, 7w6 - sx/so - 729 in Enneagram, SLUAI in Big 5, IEE in Socionics.

[1/2] I genuinely don’t get the uprising in E6 votes. Rapunzel is afraid and loyal to her mother, sure, but she literally does not known anything outside of that tower. Her only source of information and knowledge of the world is limited to that tower, why would she not base her judgements on that within the beginning of the movie when she doesn’t have anything else? I don’t think the way in which that information takes shape within her cognition is 6 like. When she does eventually enter the real world, every time a judgement is challenged, Rapunzel readily accepts the new information. 6s are fearful and therefore doubt every piece of information, Rapunzel wouldn’t be saying stuff like this after a day of being within the world if she had such a disposition:   •“I just wanna see the floating lanterns gleam. And with every passing hour, I'm so glad I left my tower! Like all you lovely folks I've got a dream.”   Also, the E7 is also a fear point. They, like the 6, are head triad which makes them also connected to fear in some way.   “Sometimes called the “doing” group, these people are always dealing with a strong polarity between doing and trying to decide what to do. This is also the home of internal dialogue. All fixations have internal dialogue, but the fear points — in particular the Sixes — are especially addicted. Their powerful absorption with inner ideas or objects tends to prevent them from taking clear, decisive action.”   “Sevens make lateral connections between unrelated subjects in order to create a dazzling display of virtuosity. In this way they distract the listener as well as themselves from deep emotional contact and thus avoid pain. Terrified of being present in the moment, Sevens overcompensate with endless plans and options which they may perceive as “staying open to God’s will.”   Whilst the 6 is the most fearful type and has it as cognitivive motivator for everything, the 5 and 7 are also very much dealing with the dilemma of when to act and when not to. She does this repeatedly by using ego-planning within the concept of the lantern and by immediately switching the conversation towards Flynn after he learns shes only ever been in the tower. If we are talking about trap the difference between Rapunzel and the 6 become clear for instance:   “The trap of the Six is security. Sixes will sell out their adventures into the unknown by staying safe within the current structure. When the idea of risk appears, security becomes the test to determine whether action will be taken. This, in turn, leads to doubt and vacillation. Security for the Six is knowing there are limits to the risks, or parameters to the action being contemplated. Knowing the options and possible consequences beforehand also creates a sense of security. This, however, requires knowing the future, which invariably leads to doubt. One Six said, “I must feel secure before I can move at all.”   Which is something Flynn attempts to play into MUTIPLE times within the story but not once does Rapunzel think of turning back. Her gluttony to see the latterns is so strong that she’d live through a lot of fear to get it. While E6s can be brave, it is something they have to practice a lot because when you’re constantly plagued by fear, working against it is exhausting. The E7s trap however is idealism which protects them from having to confront both pain and their own wrongness.   "Narcissism: With scarcity as its background, type Seven's escape into an ideal of abundance and satisfaction appears as a clinging to a self-image of capability, extraordinariness and entitlement. This self-referrentiality manifests both in the prioritization of one's needs above others, leading to exploitativeness and self-interest, as well as in the manipulative positioning of oneself as superior, manifesting as seduction, exhibitionism and covert displays of intellectual superiority."   Is something you guys are taking a little too harshly. Her insistence on going against her mother and blackmailing Flynn into taking her to see the lanterns fits in with the narcissism aspect. She’s sp blind which means she’s inherently a lot less exploitative in its unethical way but she still as, I’ve stated above, has done stuff like that. Also when it comes to idealising Gothal, A) she’s the only thing Rapunzel has and she’s constantly abused and manipulated by her. When she takes in new information, her brain doesn’t explode because it contradicts with what her mother told her, which is something 6s would have a problem with:   “Sixes live in the mental body as a way of avoiding fear. This is the home of psychology and cold logic. This is the place of chess players, philosophers, and internal dialogue. Descartes’ famous dictum, “I think, therefore I am,” epitomizes the Six fixation. Sixes are always trying to figure out the world in their head, carrying on nonstop conversations with themselves, and continuously running a commentary about what is being experienced.”
